The Wilmington Middle School Scholastic Book Fair starts on Thursday, October 31 with students practicing their math skills at the Book Fair as they make book wish lists and calculate the total cost including taxes. The Book Fair will be open weekdays at Wilmington Middle School from October 31 through November 8, between 7:45 and 3:15, and on Thursday, November 7 from 4:00 to 8:00 and Friday November 8 from 9:00 to 12:00 for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Featured will be a wide range of books from more than 150 publishers for children and adults. Parents, students, teachers, and the community are invited to attend. To make it convenient for those who cannot attend the Book Fair, or to see and select even more titles than available at the school, there is an online opportunity to visit the Book Fair at http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/wilmingtonmiddleschool. All books will be delivered to the Wilmington Middle School for pick-up. Proceeds from the Fair will be used for the purchase of new library materials and to support future library programs. “Our parent volunteers and student library aides are working very hard to put on a great book fair event – one that promotes literacy and reading, while also raising money for much-needed library resources,” said WMS Librarian Ms. Reigh.
Bruning Elementary School will be holding their book fair from November 5th until the 8th. Parents will also be able to purchase books during parent teacher conferences on November 7 and 8th. Concluding the run of fall book fairs is Steven’s Intermediate School. They will be holding their book fair from November 4th until the 12th.
